Angry HTC MAZAA Teardown [Windows Phone 2GEN from MS WPAPPITUP]

I teardown my htc mazaa received from MS with WP-APP-It-Up ('n ' )

It's Very similar with hTC Trophy.

Look 4th Pic ('_ ' )

This is Micro SD Slot. There is Empty from the first.

This is Additional micro SD Slot like SAMSUNG FOCUS [1st Gen WP]

I Think hTC Mazaa Can add Additional MicroSD.

anyone add micro sd card to htc Mazaa with Teardown?

I see what you got going on there. That slot in your 4th image does look like a microSD slot but there's nothing there to hold a card in place (unless it just slides in?) and additional software editing would probably be required to read from it if it is indeed a microSD slot.

Does look almost like the Trophy, exp the SD slot. To the poster above, the card just slides in but, it uses a type of tape to hold it in (see what's ripped on the 4th pic)
If this post helped, PLEASE HIT THANKS !!!!

Thanks !

Manufacturers have done the same thing with other WP7 devices. You only have to produce one SKU, but can customise capacity by adding an 8GB or 16GB card at the factory, thus giving you different models a-la Dell Venue Pro or Omnia 7.

There's been many successful attempts at creating 32GB Dell Venue Pro's. I had a go at installing a 64GB microSDXC, with no luck (and no surprises either )

Nice find!

I've got a mozart and a dev mazaa.

I upgraded the mozart to 32gb, but the card slot on the mazaa doesn't function because the driver for it is missing from the ROM. so unless we get a driver update (other things will be missing too: capacitive buttons lighting, internet sharing, connection setup) we're out of luck.

But it's great to see other enthusiastic minds opening up their phones.

Btw, the Mazaa has the same model number as the Spark W. So with the new HSPL releases, there might be a chance for a custom rom.
