Root your phone, copy framework-res.apk + SystemUI.apk to SDcard, go to http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/ and cook your files with what battery mod u want and then, enter recovery mode and apply zip file
After that u can unroot if u don`t want to be rooted
Or u can test if it works, then apply stock rom with Odin and then apply zip file from recovery and this way u are stock with no rooting and only those 2 files modified
Device: GT-I9100 Samsung Galaxy SII + Samsung 32GB microSD Card MB-MGBGB Pro Series
ROM: Stock 4.1.2 I9100XWLSW / I9100XXMS2 / I9100XEULS5
Kernel: Stock
Recovery: Stock
Device: GT-S5660 Samsung Galaxy Gio + A-Data MicroSDHC 16GB Class 10
ROM: Stock 2.3.6 S5660XXKTT / S5660XXKTA / S5660OXFKT6
Kernel: Stock
Recovery: Stock

Battery app consumes more battery than patched framework AFAIK. That might be the reason.
Besides why have two indicators showing the same when you can have one?
