[Q] New 7.7 always reboots to "download mode"

Hi,

I have a new 7.7 UK model 6810. It came direct from Amazon UK, had the tamper seal intact and went through the expected new device set up.

So the first time I shut it down it went into "Download mode". I've found I can put it into Odin mode with up volume when the two option menu appears as well. Looks identical, just says Odin instead of Download.

Anyway, when it goes into this mode there is nothing I can do except wait for the battery to run flat or as I've learnt this evening, I can use Odin to reset it (info came from this link

Sorry for going on, but I don't know what's happening or if I'm using the right terms, anyway, I'd like to be able to reboot it without it doing this, i.e. just reboot normally.

The volume buttons do work, so they're not jamming down or anything.

It happens with or without charger cable or mini sd card.

So is it a send it back job or can I fix it??
