My bro got thrown into a pool with his phone in his pocket.

He took out the battery and following his gf's suggestion he put everything inside a jar and then filled it up with rice, which sucked out all the moisture.

Been 3 months now, his phone still runs like nothing happened.

Hopefully you have Sprints insurance. I mean yeah you'll have to pay the deductible & in all likelihood be sent a refurbished phone but at least you won't have to pay full price for a new phone should your phone no longer work.

If your up to it though Radio Shack has an emergency phone drying kit for about $20.

That's right. It took a few months and my phone was working fine but the corrosion was starting to spread internally even though the initial camera failure was still my only problem. The phone being a refurb and a cool tech saved me from paying the deductible so I bought something from the Sprint Store to pay it back

Hopefully in the near future the Liquipel people will start offering their services for our phones.

At $59 (for standard wait time, higher priority costs more) this is the thing we exactly need.

At CES they were handing out these Ziploc type covers for phones where touchscreen and buttons obviously still worked fine but it wasn't the best looking thing. I still grabbed one...you can't beat free

try spilling a glass of whiskey on your phone and not having a warranty. 500 bucks I dropped to get my phone back. At least its now white and doesnt smell like an alcoholic

I helped my dad out at his tortilla factory and the place is full of flour. I put my phone in a Ziploc bag and it still responds fine
