Default Samsung Epic Touch 4G__ White

Has anyone else noticed the unusual amount of white epics that are showing up. I have looked on Ebay and craigslist. It seems several people end up with BNIB ads but have a bad esn. How is this possible

It's brand new in the box... Right off the truck they stole it off of.
Either that or they activate lines to get a discount on phones and think the can sell them but can't bc there is a past due account locked to it, or it was a large fraudulent activation that was able to get them out of the store but the fraud department picked it up.

It just seems like that's the way it is with most cell phones now. When I was looking at the Nexus S 4G, a ton of them were bad esn. I had to really search for ones that said clean esn. At least with the epics, it's easy to tell, as they are about $100 cheaper than their clean counter-parts. Luckily, I scored a good deal on a black on local to me. We met at a sprint store, to make sure everything was a-ok, which should be the recommended way if you are going to buy/sell to someone locally.

If the listing is telling you they have bad esn... theres no gamble to it buddy, stay far far away. I just bought mine of craigslist but I met with him at Starbucks while on the phone with Sprint and didnt pay untill I had it activated. Better safe than sorry.

Thats exactly what motivates ppl to get them and sell them bad esn or not, the fact that they sell for so much

But heres an Idea. If you really want a white ET4G without buying it at full retail or good esn price, you can buy a white one with a bad esn and swap the mainboards, then sell your black phone with the bad esn board and enjoy your new white already activated ET4G . Of course you will spend a little more than you get back after selling your black phone, especially if you have to pay for the swap (which shouldnt cost to much 20 - 40 $) but in the end it beats paying retail price!

Just an idea! i dont encourage ppl buying stolen phones so make sure if you do get a phone with a bad esn, that the phone has a bad esn due to some other reason! DONT BUY STOLEN PHONES!
