Can anyone who tried both solutions tell me which is better: stock or a custom kernel (like semaphore, etc)?
I'm using the stock one and feel fine with it, but i'd like to know if flashing another one would improve things like battery or RAM!

stock one is fine but I like the semaphore more. I have more RAM, voodoo sound, the phone is smooth and the battery is great.
Smartphone: Google Nexus 5 16Gb
Rom: Mahdi 2.7
Kernel: Bricked Kernel

Yeah of course, just wanted to know if there are some "big" differences or not using a custom one with this ROM

Krarvind please,

does systemUI and framework-res present in Slim are customized by you or are they original based from other source?

This in case we would like to substitute them (Sense 4.0 recently mod for example)

@krarvind

I do know that you don't take requests from public...but this is more of a plea...Could you please consider putting "quiet hours" from CM9 into your ROM? I do keep my phone running at night and the only that I need to wake up to is a phone call...quiet hours does just that.

I've tried several apps online but non come close what's there on CM9...please do consider...
Oh before I forget, if I'd helped you with this post, please do hit the thanks
--Moved from Samsung Galaxy S1 to HTC One X and boy! am I glad I took that decision. What was I thinking when I wrote this?

that's unfortunate to hear, i was hoping for the sense 4.0 recent apps mod now that it has been included by the AOKP team and because the the WebOS mod is already present in SlimICS
