Well, I used to love MiUI on my previous HTC so I've given it another shot. I never liked the iOS style MiUI launcher, so I'm using Apex now with a Trinity kernel. I've tried treaking the launcher settings but it still seems like I'm getting a little bit of lag. Anyone else care to share their "hot setup"? I like the MiUI themes and customizations compared to AOSP, but I gotta get some speed out of this thing. I'll try it for a couple days to see if I can get used to it but if I could get some speed tips I'd really appreciate it. TIA!

Is there anyway to shorten the height of the nav bar area?

Another question
I have a different baseband flashed and when I use getril to try to install matching ril it says system partition needs to be writable so I used root explorer to change permissions but it says the same thing

Go into the superuser app and give yourself su permissions. Unless you already did, in which case good luck.

Has anyone noticed any issues on the newest version, 2.6.8? I'm thinking of flashing it today. Last version I ran was on my Vibrant a little over a month ago.

Thank you

Only issue I have is no toolbox.

In case anyone has the same problem I did with getril, it was busy box, or lack of it. I guess miui doesn't have it.

I'm running 2.6.8 with glados kernel and it runs nice.

Well guys, I gave it a shot. I could only live with MiUI for half a day before CM9 went back on. I just couldn't live with the pauses and choppiness. It's a shame too because it "appears" that everything works. I had toolbox working just fine and everything. The ROM is great, just slow. I'm addicted to smoothness. Hopefully things get ironed out in a couple months :)
