It could of course be so, but they would have actively
hide it. That these boot partitions show up has nothing to do with Samsung really, it is an update to the Linux MMC driver that has made these partitions visible. All devices that use the MMC driver will now have this behavior by default. It's not like Samsung went out of their way to make them visible these developer builds.

While different bootloaders may stop this hack from working by changing the location where this data is stored, what akbarhash implies is a different factor of the equation, that is irrelevant of which bootloader you have on your device.
