So I am running CM9 Alpha 2. I notice that sometimes, when Im trying to load a web page, it will act like I've lost connection and stop loading half way through. I have to keep hitting refresh until the web page decides it wants to load. Also, with youtube, I sometimes cant get through a whole video without it stopping and not load the rest of the video. Ironically, Netflix works pretty well. The wifi icon at the bottom stays "lit", it just seems like it momentarily loses connection. Are these issues related to the wifi? Should I try the drivers posted on the last page?
My Devices:
Galaxy Nexus / HP TouchPad (Both on Jelly Bean)
Droid X2
Palm Pre Plus
Palm Centro
Everything before that doesn't matter.

Yes definitely. But I highly recommend that you first wipe and upgrade to the latest cm9 nightly as there have been a lot of improvements since alpha 2
Thank you very much. This fixed my wifi problems on cm9

I have noticed this lately using the stock browser and Firefox as well as on my desktop PC. So not sure it CM9 that is the issue.
I notice that in the latest O.A.T rom, which previously included the ath6kl drivers, there are now two variants as he found the latest kernel update is not compatible with the drivers at the moment. One version has old kernel and updated drivers and the other has new kernel but not the driver update.
Reason for posting that here is that it probably also means that it is not a good idea to flash the driver update zip on top of very recent CM9 roms until that gets resolved.
I am currently on cm9 latest nightly.I was previously having issues staying connected using cm9 and aokp builds. It was bad and so I went to my router settings. I have a Linksys router with both wireless G and N. I disabled the N signal and set my G signal to channel 1. Wi-Fi is working better than ever and have not had any disconnects since the change. So apparently the N signal interferes with the hptouchpad's reception. Hope this helps someone

i am not having any problems with cisco wireless router am on n setting, initially i had a problem on the touchpad along with my pc but it was due to time change correction on the touchpad,do all hp touchpads have the same recievers or do they differ ,if they are same why are we having different problems on the same device or are they defective,i have other android devices and none of them have behaved like this.i think when we have the source kernel from hp it will solve all the issues.

While it would be nice if the source code release solved all the android issues for the Touchpad, do not expect this to be the case. HP is releasing the webos source code only. The drivers for the broadcom wifi are, and will continue to be, closed source. Most wifi issues currently have work arounds and they vary as much as the software versions available for the touchpad. Some android releases for the touchpad have more stable wifi than others but there are so many variables involved that I expect to see wifi issues continue for quite some time. I currently have 3 touchpads and, at times, have had to use various workarounds to get wifi reception to be stable.
The fact that we have an android install is a blessing so the wifi fixes are a small price to pay. HP developed a great device and we have the ability to dual boot android. I am content with that.

I'm on AOKP Milestone 5 and I lose wifi connectivity every minute or so. Can anyone point me to any experimental or updated drivers I can compile? I swear, with every build that comes out from AOKP for Tenderloin, the worse the wifi gets for me :/.
