Hi,

Did a fair bit of ROM updating with my previous HTC Desire but I have not yet dipped a toe in the Defy ROM water.

I am fairly happy with my stock Defy+ (2.3.4 build 4.5.1-134) but I am interested in trying this ROM as its looks pretty good.

I have a couple of questions:-

1. Am I right in thinking with my build all I need to do is run the zip file in CWM (my Defy is rooted) to install the ROM?

2. If a I do a Nandriod backup of my Stock ROM setup can I revert back to this once I have installed this ROM. Is it simply a case of applying the Nandriod backup?

Hi,

Tried to install but it showed an error in finding the bootimg?

Then it would hang at the Motorola logo.

Also tried the White Rabbit ROM which installed through Aroma fine but again is stuck on the Motorola logo. Tried the reboot but still does the same.

Was able to restore my stock setup from nandroid so back up and running again.

Any suggestions where I am going wrong?

After flashing the new rom, if you just get the logo, try flashing cache, data and delvik(or whatever its called) and try reboting

An owner of 2 DEFY+'s here. If you want Pikachu, you need to flash your DEFY+ down to Froyo and then flash Pikachu. That works for me. If you want White Rabbit, use the Plus version (WhiteRabbitPlusEdition v1.3), it will work with Gingerbread!

therefore I will make maybe this weekend an update based on 2.2.17 which will include some fixes and the volumeskip hack, because it is available for it, combined with the 4way boot mod PLUS some nice new extras to increase speed

Mine too has the same problem, though it drops from 9 to 4 too .... any help ?
