Either with a file manager or terminal, it's in /system/build.prop in the line "dalvik.vm.heapsize="

"It's not really yours until you've voided the warranty"

my recommendations when it comes to undervolting (and changing clock speeds) is to not start out with both right away....each rom/kernel works differently in its response to your changes

id suggest start with very minor undervolt across the steps and running it at stock speed for a day and see how that works

if thats alright, then perhaps lower it a bit after that...just dont go crazy with how low you go with the voltage...its diminishing (or counterproductive) returns after awhile...and imo stock voltage returns very good battery life anyway

as far as underclocking? get ur voltage squared away first, but generally going down to max 806 (iirc the steps) is fine, although with some gaming or a lot of multitasking you might not get optimal performance

stock heapsize for this rom btw is same cm9: 128

I've heard so many different opinions, and was told to get the best battery life is to undervolt and underclock. I'll revert back to stock and go from there and watch it a little closer.

So I have a question regarding voltage control.

The I/O schedule. What are the settings and what do they do exactly? I was told to try out this and it should help. I removed setCPU to try this app out.

again, its gonna depend on your setup and your particular phone....try out the different schedulers and governors and see what works best for you

I got that. In asking what does each setting do in the I/O scheduler. I'll try them out. Just want to have knowledge of what I'm doing before I blow up my phone.

i just run the kernel stock, but whenever i tinker around with it i tend to set it to cfq or bfq and run it conservative

Ok. That's what I'm thinking. Because I'm using aerovan. I never had a problems until recently and I'm starting to think it's this kernel. If I remember, these problems started to happen around the time I switched.... Hmmmm...
