Exclamation Root Status

Just wondering if anyone has tried rooting their Canadian Notes. I'd try it on one of the Notes at my store if I could.

Methods that might work:

S2 Root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...ghlight=unroot
This is supposed to work with all Samsung devices

Super One Click 2.3.3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682

There are a couple other Skyrocket methods that could be attempted too. But I don't see why these 2 methods wouldn't work. If someone could try them out and report back, I'm sure we'd all appreciate it.
iPhone 3G > Captivate > Aria > Focus > Atrix 4g > AT&T Galaxy S2 > International Galaxy Note >AT&T Galaxy Note > AT&T One X > HSPA Galaxy Nexus > iPhone 5 > back to the HSPA Galaxy Nexus > AT&T Galaxy S3

Can't comment on the first method since I don't feel like patching in sketchy kernels, but Super One Click is a big pile of fail on this one, as is the zergrush exploit in general. Both just crash out and fail to get permissions.

Hmm... It probably won't be any different for the AT&T version. I'll give every method a shot though.

I'm going to wait to see if someone will release a kernel that already has root more than likely.

Should work with this version since this phone is just a big Skyrocket.

I am using a Korean note which is the exact version as the AT&T version
The way to do it would be to flash a kernel which would enable root
I wonder if it would apply to the devices in Canada Nd the Us eversions

Using the Canadian Telus version - SGH-I717D - the latest Super One Click 2.3.3 fails when attempting the zergrush exploit.

Using the S2 Root mentioned above (without flashing anything extra, mind you), it says:

Device Manufacturer: SAMSUNG
Device Model: SGH-I717D
ROM Build: SGH-I717D-user 2.3.6 GINGERBREAD 207 release-keys
...click "Root Device"...
Checking Device Connection...
Device Connected!
Restarting ADB Server...
Checking ROOT Access...
Superuser Request Has Been DENIED! Aborting...

if I remember correctly, many users of the galaxy s series had trouble rooting at one point because of the signature verification in the 3e recovery. So if the note has the same recovery you won't be able to root using super one click until you remove this verification process. Can anyone try rebooting into recovery to check what recovery they are using.
