Alternate link has been posted in the guide. It can be found here. Let me know if file is corrupted or if there are any other problems.

I wish I still had a mediafire pro account, then I could put up the 2.01 rom (for devs who want to poke at it).

Thank you! I now have all the files I need to give this custom rom a go on my phone. Now I just need to find a few hours to execute it all!

Is your phone in bootloader mode? After shutting off your phone, press power + down vol. Hold down vol until the tri-color boot screen comes up.

Once that tri-color boot screen comes up, plug in your cable and wait for the white section to turn from Serial to USB.

If it says USB and you are still getting that screen, make sure you have Zune software installed (so you have the USB sync drivers installed).

Okay, I'll give it another try today, I think it's because I wasn't waiting for serial to turn to USB. Id10t error lol.

Great, Thanks for the update. I thought a custom rom would be a bit quicker?, or is it not ready for prime time yet..

DISREGARD: I was using an older version of the tool.

My Trophy was up to date with all the latest from Zune. I flashed the stock rom and now it looks just like the smiley face image in the first post.

HOWEVER, whenever I try to run DFT_RSPL_WP7FG1_LAUNCH.exe, I get this error below. Any ideas?

[Error Description]:

Invalid ModelID. This means that your phone not supported.
This installer supports only limited number of the phones.
SPARK, MOZART, MONDRIAN, GOLD, SCHUBERT.
If you have phone from this list, but still have this error, please contact with DFT team.

[Info]: USBWorkRSPL.cpp (235)

[Error Description]:

ModelID is 'PC402000'. Please report this info to DFT.

[Info]: USBWorkRSPL.cpp (234)

To anyone else who is testing out DFT's Verizon freedom rom: have you noticed that the voice recognition has degraded significantly over the stock rom? Since I flashed my phone, it seems like the phone's ability to understand me has gone to hell.
