Unhappy [Q] Render websites on desktop mode

I tried about:useragent on my galaxy note but websites still load in the mobile version. I also tried downloading doplhin browser and setting the string to desktop but still no luck. I just rooted my phone but i did not think that would affect the browser. Any suggestions?

I used the built-in browser 3 times and then downloaded Opera Mobile. It lets you set the user agent to desktop - and it works.

Haven't installed it on this phone yet, but I've always found that Opera works best for viewing in desktop mode.

[QUOTE=paulishuku;22775728]Download dolphin hd. It has a desktop mode.

It seems like some websites such as facebook come up on desktop mode and some like yahoo.com or aol.com don't ever come up on desktop mode whether i use about:useragent or dolphin.

It is surprising because I never had this issue on my old samsung infuse. Also my camera is very slow at taking pictures especially when I use flash. I tried saving the pics on the phone or the sd card but it makes no difference. I also tried to disable the power setting and even reset the camera setting but no luck. Again I never had this issue on my old infuse.

My 2¢
Opera does an excellent job in desktop mode on the note. It also allows you to sync with your desktop, bookmarks etc. It delivers flash if you need it. It is very polished and stable on gingerbread. It runs fast on the note, and I'm on 3g.

Dolphin HD gives equivalent performance. Great browser with loads of good customizations, but they strip mine your entire phone for data, not cool!

I tried watching a video at pornotube.com desktop site and it said I need at least Flash 9.0 and when I clicked to get it the flash page said it's not available for my device. So how do you enable flash on Opera?

The videos played on the stock browser fine.

I tested flash on justintv and then on stickam using opera in desk top mode on a 3g connection....smooth as butter. I'm not sure what's up with porn tube...go into settings under advanced and make sure flash is enabled and you should be able to get your porn fix on . : )
