Is there any news about changing the baseband? Can we somehow use/extract the european froyo baseband?
I'm trying without results... But you had restored nandroid backup. or flashed 2.3.6 with sbf?
don't touch the baseband!!!!!!!
if you search baseband on the playstore you'll find grtril, open and give me a screenshot... Thanks...

I flashed the SBF.

GetRil says baseband: N_01.08.00.26p

I found a tool for the Defy, so it should be possible to change the baseband if we could somehow extract it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1052745

We don't have these folder and files...
I'm again searching this files...
You can't return to 2.2 that has better radio, you said that....
But I don't know how you can switch the baseband. You can try to ask in that topic,....
And then we can try some solution...
I've 2 pro and so I can try for you.
Keep in touch because I'm very curious,
My european baseband is N_01.1b.01r

did a little research. it seems like the needed files are in /system/etc/motorola/bp_nvm_default

see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...5&postcount=24

unfortunately I can't check if we also got this folder, since I had to re-sbf the whole thing without access to linux (no root).

EDIT: according to this quotes it should be possible to overwrite this on the fly: "Try it with a explorer with root access and overwrite those basebandfiles with your indian files and reboot" and "...set your device to flight mode, so you can do a clean start".
Also, different people say that baseband files should be interchangable (using milestone 2 with defy, or different samsung models).

I looked up the content. Can you find the following files: "File_GSM", "File_GPRS"?

I couldn't find them either. I will spend some time on the weekend to dig deeper.
Do you know if the baseband is changed while on ICS? Or is it rom independent?
