Default [Q] Best way to root? What did you do and why?

I wanted to know the best way to root....
The only thing I care about is tether to my moto Xoom. I really don't want to Boise warranty and have counter go up unless it is te BEST WAY

Well, I tried to copy the thread URL from the AT&T Note development forums but kept getting a force close so I just went to the browser to copy the link. I haven't rooted myself yet, but this seems to be the easiest way I've seen.

I imagine that it won't be to long before this is improved further. Anyway, here's the link to that thread:

system root only because it won't increase your flash counter so ATT/Sammy can't deny warranty on it if they choose.

I did system root for now until there is a way to reset the flash counter.
Smartphones Owned:
  • Samsung Galaxy S 4 (SCH-i545)
  • Samsung Galaxy Note (SGH-i717)

Any links on how to do just the system root? R u using att version? Did you have to restore after root?
