yeah...for me its too slim and has too big a screen. A nice big screen would be cool but the practicality could be ridiculously low when using it in one hand. Especially when you may have smaller hands.

I think tmobile will skip the g3. They probably won't even do a G line anymore. That was really just a beginning for them since that Droid lineup tiny. Now that they've been able to get more brands and better phones, why worry about the G series. Both the G1 and G2 were Google related. The Nexus One was really supposed to be the G3 but I doubt you will see anymore high end phones with keyboards.

There will always be room for high end smartphones with keyboards, the droid 4 just came out, why not the g3 down the road. We will see...

Yeah they can't give up on physical keyboards just yet... A 4.5" screen with a PK would be absolutely awesome.

I just want to say firstly that the Devs for G2x saved this phone for what it is. I love the hardware on this phone but the lack of official support makes it impossible to really want the next make up. I had an Evo when it first came out back when I lived in the US and it was an amazing phone. HTC is great i might just go back with them or the next samsung of the time (I'm sticking with my G2x for another year)

I'm not an lg fanboy..... But all my tvs are lg and my home is full of lg phone users. The g2x has been good to me. My plan is to get the tegra 3 optimus 4x or g4x or whatever you want to call it. Unless lg develops the next nexus, as I heard they are begging for a shot at Google's baby. I'd buy.

After my experience with the g2x I probably will not go for the g4x, no product support. The developer community is what made the g2x as amazing as it is.

This is true. Some of the developers really went the extra mile with supporting this phone (see current work to get ICS functional and working on the G2x despite not having any driver support).

But I am kind of torn on whether I would get an LG G4x, at first I thought the issue was with NVidia and their drivers (not releasing them, which I can understand). But LG has been really shady about the whole update to ICS. Then the whole EoL thing, then the phone is back on TMo's site for sale. It's a mess.

I mean this phone, at almost a year old, still has the hardware and features that exceeds most smart phones on the market today and TMo's line up has what... about 4 high-end phones plus the G2x. So why wouldn't you invest in updating it? It surely must be cheaper to manufacture by now and still be a top tier phone to sell to customers and turn a profit.

But if HTC makes the G4x I will definitely get one and give them a shot. They have come a long way (as well a Sammy) and I don't think it can be worst than the current G2x situation.

HTC stopped making the MyTouch line, then LG got the call, now it looks like hauwei will make the next release.

I think t-mobile stopped the whole "G" line since both g1 and g2 were Google phones by HTC. Now HTC has a flagship and no news of an upcoming LG phone. The G4x hasn't been confirmed for tmobile either.

ATT will get the HTC one X, the top tier, and tmo will get the second tier HTC one S

Google is "begging for a shot at Google's baby" because they have blown it with with Android updates/upgrades so they want to make Google's hardware and rely on and piggyback on Google's updates for it. I hope Google keeps LG begging and begging and begging and begging...
