Hey guys, just want to make sure I'm going to do this properly.

I went to CM7's thread, download FXP108 file.

The instruction say to flash the kernel.

Does that mean I extract the boot.img from the zip file, and use that?

Then I go into recovery, and use the same zip file to run from recovery.(do I remove the boot.img from the zip?)

Then I flash the baseband file?

Just want to make sure I'm going it properly.

Flash the baseband first, extract boot.img then delete it from the CM7 zip, flash boot.img, then go into recovery and flash CM7

Resets pretty much everything except the bootloader's unlocked status

I assume you have a Verizon PLAY, the R800x? Otherwise you shouldn't be flashing that ROM. If you are on R800x, then I dunno what that means

You flashed a file called "XperiaPlay_3.0.1.E.0.88_R800x.ftf", which is the CDMA R800x firmware. You need to get GSM R800a or R800i firmware. For CM7, you need R800i 4.0.2.A.0.42 or 4.0.2.A.0.58 or 4.0.2.A.0.62

Thats the only one they had.

You mean the build number or baseband?

baseband has this:
8x55A-AAABQMAZM-203028D-56

Build number is:
4.0.2.A.0.42

the build numbers match, that mean I'm good?
