Default [Q] Rooting, the hard way?

So I have an interesting challenge. Currently my Droid Bionic does not accept any USB cable I plug into it. I have a new motorola cable on order right now to test. However, I can flash my rom with any cable.

The problem is I can't get any operating system to see my phone as a mass storage device. Yes, I have tried making sure I have the drivers installed ( tested on multiple machines ).

What I would like to do, is find a solution that will let me transfer files over that will root my phone, or even use rsdlite to flash a image on my phone that is pre-rooted.

I have been tearing through peoples scripts to see if I can find a method that I can duplicate or mold into what I want. As I have little experience in the whole root thing short of what people have prepped, I was wondering if anyone has a method or a solution that they can share with me.

Try Bionic Path Saver. If your phone can connect to the computer you shouldn't have a problem.

Turns out it was the USB cable. Annoyingly enough the fast boot works on many cables, everything else... not so much.
