Default how to upgrade from 2.2 to 2.3?

hello, i have htc desire and i want to upgrade my android from 2.2 to 2.3, i downloaded from htc website the update but i don't succesed, if any could to help me it will be great...thenk for the help

You don't want to upgrade. You would be MUCH better off rooting, S-OFF and flashing a custom ROM.

Yup. agree going with rooting than the GB rom
Say it's for developer use anyway

Custom ROMs much better suited for normal use.
There's plenty to choose from
Desire has the index that list all the ROMs available
Check the Development page

but i want to,Because of the security breaches that to version 2.2 have n 2.3 don't so if you know please tell me i have to know...

2.3.3 has his fair share of security issues too, so if it is the only reason, don't bother upgrading.
Device: HTC Desire A8181 (SLCD, PVT3)
Radio: 32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.23
HBOOT: OxygenR2 (100/5/333)
Recovery: 4EXT Touch 1.0.0.5 RC6
ROM: AN-Droid 2.2.0, Droidzone's June18 kernaaaal.

Unless you're an FBI agent holding top secret **** on your phone you don't need to be so paranoid. If you lose your phone or it gets stolen the most likely ending for it is being wiped and sold, petty criminals don't have time to try to decrypt your personal data and try to find (the very limited) information about you that can be available on your phone, unless you quite literally keep everything about you on it.
