Hi all. Here you can find the new thing for all Sony (Ericsson) Xperia smartphone users. Bbooff and I together make the update.zip files with the newest original firmware without any changes, only with superuser add, (and we will continue to update it) for all XPERIA phones 2011. We think that it is helpful for XPERIA users and it provides many advantages.

You can make your own custom roms just using winrar. You can delete or change what you want, eq framework-res.apk, bootanimation, fonts, default apps etc... (but dont extract zip, just change files directly in it or the signature of file will be lost)

Moreover if you deleted some system file and your phone crashed, you can repair it by using our update.zip file. Just download it, delete all files which you dont want to restore in the phone. The rest of update.zip flash via recovery and you phone will live...

This is the team work of bbooff (your thanks go to him) and me.

You cannot install this zip through nAa's recovery, you hawe to use recovery provided in kernels

Bricks your phone
Oops, I just found out the this update.zip doesn't works well. It just bricks your phone so you have to flash it, again.

Actually it stucks at the Sony Ericsson logo. It doesn't go brighter (as usually) and I can't access CWM recovery either.

My question is: how to flash an Xperia mini to NOT lose the content of /data and /cache partitions?

If you don't have CWM in kernel, it's overwritten. And if it stuck's at SE logo, you have incompatible kernel with stock rom or you didn't wipe.
