Hi all. Here you can find the new thing for all Sony (Ericsson) Xperia smartphone users. Bbooff and I together make the update.zip files with the newest original firmware without any changes, only with superuser add, (and we will continue to update it) for all XPERIA phones 2011. We think that it is helpful for XPERIA users and it provides many advantages.

You can make your own custom roms just using winrar. You can delete or change what you want, eq framework-res.apk, bootanimation, fonts, default apps etc... (but dont extract zip, just change files directly in it or the signature of file will be lost)

Moreover if you deleted some system file and your phone crashed, you can repair it by using our update.zip file. Just download it, delete all files which you dont want to restore in the phone. The rest of update.zip flash via recovery and you phone will live...

This is the team work of bbooff (your thanks go to him) and me.

You cannot install this zip through nAa's recovery, you hawe to use recovery provided in kernels

The fault is not in the zip file.It is in your not fully functional CWM.
This update zip, wipes your system partition and thus your recovery files.(i do not mean the backup files)
All of the above, if you are using nAa's recovery, which i am sure you do.
If you install a custom kernel with proper recovery, everything will work fine.
And by the way, your phone isn't damaged. It just can't boot...

Nobody said it is only for custom kernel users. I thought stock ROM with SU is for stock users without unlocked bootloader.

I cannot use it. Firmware failure is not a damage ? Why ? Because I can repair it ?

First of all... If you dont know the difference between nAa's CWM and a modded kernel, its your fault.

Second of all, if you have an unlocked bootloader, I would reccomend you used your brain in order to fix your phone instead of callin the op because YOU screwed up. Flash a custom kernel and you're done. If you dont have an unlocked bootloader, you should have known that your CWM would get wiped. Now as for why it bricked... I cannot say. Worked like a charm for me all the times I flashed it.

Ummm... No. If you want to mod, you need to do the research. Modding and software hacking is for advanced users. Not saying I was born advanced, but when I started I was searching every possible forum before I did the slightest. Now people wait from the developers to fix their own misshaps. RTFM next time.

Did you do a full wipe before flashing it?
