I'm developing a suspicion that something in the hardware is marginal. Maybe the eMMC chips, maybe something else. I've seen a few phones on eBay being sold because there are "stuck". I've even bought a couple and reflashed them. Since the sellers seemed uninformed about reflashing, I imagine they were just using the phones normally instead of messing around.

On one of my MT4GS, it lost its marbles twice while I was actually using it (and doing nothing special). It got really slow and jerky, and then it eventually shutdown. No signs of life except a single buzz if I long-press the power button.

After this happened the first time, I tried it again in a couple days and was able to get into hboot. I did a nandroid restore. Everything was fine for 4-5 days when it repeated its contrariness. (That was yesterday; it's currently on the shelf with me waiting for it to come to its senses.)

Luckily, I had another idle MT4GS and restored it with my CWM nandroid backup, so I'm back on the air. That first phone has me wondering, though.

the mt4gs is a very sensitive phone and not one of the best quality wise. there are lots of issues with it, and most of them are hardware related( like the random freezes and "semi-dead condition" you encountered). lets just say that the chips selected for them arent the most reliable

So PM me and don't waste your heard earned cash on another phone while your Sensation can be repaired.
What method you are using?
I think that for now the only solution is JTAG that is not only software solution and need the phone to be disassembled.

Yes SubliminalThoughts is obviously using JTAG to revive a hard bricked device as that or replacing the main board of the device is the only fix for a hard bricked device. Now everything else that was mentioned in their post like flashing the Hboot, SuperCID, S-off, unlocked, and installing a custom recovery was not needed to be mentioned. If you are here on XDA you can do all of this yourself for free. Mentioning the JTAG service is understandable but not the rest.

Edit: This member also started a thread with a very similar post as the OP in the Sensatiojn General forums. It is obvious that this member is using the work of others to make money including the work here in this thread, see this post. Not only is this unethical to me, but blatant advertising like this is not allowed on XDA. They have been reported
