( FYI ... comments below are mainly for our new users ... )
Since we are all AOKP enthusiasts and especially excited about the rom's stimpz0r graciously produces for our GSM SGT7's, I thought I'd share how I typically track the progress for stimpz0r, AOKP, & CM9 activities.

stimpz0r's' github is a great way to track his progress - ie. see the "

For me personally ... when I see a new Build# commited in
stimpz0r / android_device_samsung_p1, I know he's getting close to testing, working out bugs, and eventually releasing a new build for us.

Once stimpz0r's website is ready, I can only assume the process becomes even more transparent. So, there's a lot to be excited about with his builds!!

AOKP:
As stimpz0r advised, following AOKP's github commits for vendor_aokp will reveal when the next builds are ready.
https://github.com/AOKP/vendor_aokp/commits/ics
You can also track AOKP's gerrit to see which items are in Open or Merged status:
http://gerrit.sudoservers.com/#/q/status
pen,n,z
http://gerrit.sudoservers.com/#/q/status:merged,n,z
AOKP gerrit for vendor_aokp (Open, Merged):
http://gerrit.sudoservers.com/#/q/st...endor_aokp,n,z
http://gerrit.sudoservers.com/#/q/st...endor_aokp,n,z
Once AOKP anounces a build, the changelog gets posted in their News section:

If you took salahmed's advice to
read the OP, you'll understand why stimpz0r forks components from both AOKP and CyanogenMod in his github. If you haven't yet, read through the
first three posts in this thread, and you'll understand what stimpz0r's build is all about. Cheers.
