Updated from 29 to 31 earlier today, no wipe. So far so good, as it is purring. I'm definitely sold on AOKP.
Tab & Phone: T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 {AOKP}
- always running the most current versions of ROMs, etc.
- kernel is overclocked & undervolted

Thank you all for the great job on gtab. I'm experiencing some unexpected shutdown, that is the only problem i've noted

Thank you very much

Hi

I'm not sure if this has been asked or if the is possible on this build... HumberOS Rom has a persistent google search on the top of the screen...any idea how to do the same for this rom?

Edit:

Ok, I might have been dreaming, but I really thought i saw it there...

Default USB mount?

Sorry,
it isn't clear if in very last version (BUILD 31) USB mount works, so to be able to see files on PC.
If I've read well, it didn't work on BUILD 28/29, while it was working before

For me it's important because I would like to make a full wipe and I've no external SD, so wifi would be too much slow to transfer again all my files on internal SD...

Thanks!

what launcher are you using? apex or the generic launcher?

A question though:
1. Are you able to look into disable capacitive not sticking after reboot bug? I want to use the nav bar in the new aokp

I can confirm that new Gyro driver is not compatible with compass.
The new driver needs more work!

About wifi, we are using new BCM4329 driver w/out Samsung functions. So, the MAC address is generated by new driver.

In previous wifi driver, we had a function called "dhd_read_macaddr" and it got the MAC by reading files:
  • /data/.mac.info
  • /data/.nvmac.info

I will try to port it. But w/out this function the driver works perfect for me.

BTW, I will build new one soon!

great work as always HumberOS! next build ill update the device with the wifi mac address fix, and sync / build a newer version of your kernel with gyro reverted.

cek this

FYI it's on first page of this thread.
I sugested you do a little research before asking any question eace
actually, the details you quoted would not help with MTD users, they have to follow the overcome guide from start to finish before flashing this rom to get a clean BML (non-MTD) system. thanks for all the help anyway trying to answer peoples questions, its most appreciated!

@stimpz0r
Looks like the new Nav Bar customizations only work in Phone UI, but I'll take the Tablet UI convenience over tweakability for now. Some functionality obviously won't work on Tablets (per your OP), so maybe roman & the gang eventually works them into the Tablet down the road. S'all good for now.

Out of curiosity, do you (stimpz0r) play around much with UI tweaks? Or just mainly stuff under the hood? I'm assuming you're wanting to maintain the overall AOKP feel in the rom.

Great stuff, guys!!
yeah i noticed the navigation buttons customizations weren't working before i released the build, but i forgot to mention it in the post (sorry to all who were looking forward to it! )

UI tweaks are something i will work on more when the major bugs are ironed out. im all for adding extra features to AOKP (especially ones that help out with the SGT7 specifically), but i want as many of the core features working before i look at making improvements to UI.

YOUTUBE ROTATE TO PORTRAIT WHEN IN FULL SCREEN.

update: youtube problem fixed.
go to ROM control, General UI, allow 180 degrees rotation and waalaa!!! problem fixed
i think your caps lock key got stuck!

honestly though, i cant give you an answer on that, perhaps try it on a different rom and see if it does the same? either way "XXX" program not working is low on the priority list.

UMS (USB mass storage) only works for internal storage at the moment. full wipe (via recovery) doesn't touch data on internal / external sd cards.

Up till now I have been stuck on the 4.01 builds of Android because they were the only builds that worked with my hidden said network

But now I can use a latest build :D

I am using your builds over the cm9 builds because I want to have the ability to quick swap rooms on the go (I Have ORD)

So far I have experienced no problems with this from apart from some of the options not working in the menu (Mentioned In 1st post)

thanks for a great rom I will be using it as my daily rom

Hello all & Humberto...

I am on HumberOS from 7.3. and the latest (non-MTD) Kernel from 10.4.
I was on Kernel 7.3. before.

I experience massive battery drain in standby now!
9 percent in 24 hours.
Before it was around 4-5 percent in 24 hours.

I wiped cache and dalvik after flashing the latest kernel.
Did I miss something?
