Superwipe Zip - Clean all the crap!!

Hi,

I have spent the last day trying to get ANY rom to work on my wildfire s...

no matter what I flash CM 7 roms, or Sense, they all hand and perform like crap.

It has got to the point now where nothing actually boots...i think the handset is so clogged up with leftover files it is getting confused.

Is there any superwipe.zip i can flash in recovery like the one attached for the HTC sensation...

Can this be flashed to the Wildfire...if not can it be adjusted? if not can SOMEONE help me get this paperweight working!

I had a look into that zip and it's script.

It basically wipes /cache, /userdata, /boot, /system and .android_secure. plus some other files that are probably not even on our devices.

There's no need to adapt it. Just tell CWM to wipe all data/factory reset.

also you can format all the other partitions, too in CWM using the "mounts and storage" menu.

EDIT:
Because it is "comfortable" I have decided to port it for our Wildfire S. I'll upload it when I tested it successfully.

Be warned:
This erases ALL partitions (excluding /radio, /misc and /devlog, of course )

Afterwards you MUST flash a rom if you want to use your phone

that is brilliant!! the super wipe worked really well for the Sensation!

you cant include this in your rom, it was tried in the sensation forum but sent everything FUBAR!

...you need to have it flashed before your rom, this script includes a reboot sequence, after reboot, then flash your rom!

btw I deleted the reboot sequence because it was useless

m1ndh4x8r feel free to use it for your rom.
place it before flashing it and the rom will be installed on a very clean base.

erasing /boot

I would just like to add this script is useless if you have a custom recovery. It does the same exact thing wipe data does in recovery. When you flash a rom, most smart devs wipe system before flashing anything. Also with the assert script to flash kernel this also wipes everything in /boot.

So why use a script that is built into cwm?
