while device is power ON

Volume Up + POWER (for 10 seconds) -> resets the battery, its like removing the battery and putting it back in [device will vibrate once]

Volume Up + POWER (for additional 5 seconds, total 15 seconds) -> will power off hard, device will power down [device will vibrate thrice]

Hello,

Just so you know, I asked O2 for a network unlock code and they sent it via e-mail in just under a week... for FREE.

However...

This only unlocks the network (so now I can use any SIM) BUT does NOT change the bootloader unlock status...

So even though my phone is now "network unlocked" the bootloader change ability is still locked on "NO!".

If anyone has an idea on how to get that changed, it would be most appreciated, i.e. if your network can change it for you somehow (e.g. with a code).

My worry is that the talented devs here will forget about us mere mortals who are still stuck with "perma-locked" bootloaders... hopefully someone, somehow will crack it because I am finding it VERY annoying that I can't root my device after so much rooting goodness on my X10.

Agree, I think we are forgotten and pushed aside like lepers because we can't afford a sim free phone :(

Pretty sure a root will come like zergrush exploit but won't be around till ics is released. Someone told me and makes sense that with ics out soon there is no point of a root method for 2.3.7 because it will be patched for ics.

The only thing I can say is that the other week I opened up my phone and connected one of the points to ground and it triggered the QHSUSB mode. As far as I know, this is the same "test point" method was before.

The problem is that I can't really do much with this myself. I know back in the 2011 phones there were tokens that unlocked the phone, but there are no tokens available right now.

key thing is to get the right drivers

I download the drivers from here, http://download.theandroidsoul.com/f...ootloaders.zip

and use the fastboot drivers from the drivers folder.

then in that few seconds where the phone is in fastboot mode, I update the drivers accordingly.

The problem I think is Windows 7 will automatically redirect the driver installation to default/generic installation if it can't find the driver for the device. So perhaps to avoid it totally it's to use gpedit.msc to stop the redirection of the devices..
Edit :
Never mind....
