I had the same issue updating. Wrong device was the reason. Changed the device code in build.prop to the name suggested in the comment above the line (changed from the depricated one) .

I removed maps and tried an install. Now a compatibility with existing products that share the same identity.

Removed streetview. No help. Installed your gaols and still cannot install maps.

This was all because after install 5.6 location was wrong. Put me in Minnesota when I am in New Brunswick, Canada .

GPS fix did not fix it but the miui compass actually worked for me this time.

I can't find google maps app installed even after flashing addon of latest version. Installing from play store fails with a message that maps is incompatible with other apps using same user id. Titanium backup doesn't show maps installed. What shall I do? Thanks.

There's something going on with maps or play store, I'm using a different rom and maps is not even showing on play store, tried looking for it at play on pc and it says its not available for my region found. apk and the I was able to install and update but it still does not show when I look for it on play store. This also happened with color note app so there's something going on with play store...
