They should give all prime owners an upgrade to the new unit if the owner is unhappy with their unit. I would even be willing to pay $50 to $100 dollars for it, if need be. Very disappointed in what was supposed to be a great unit. Has so much potential if they could just fix a couple of big issues. Radio reception and durability would be a good start, even if it meant a partial redesign of the case and new antennas with tougher glass.
Now I'm worried to pick up my prime, the screen might break!
This needs some kind of petition on change.org.
RMA is still waiting for my confirmation apparently.. And customer support keeps playing time with empty promises and bulls*** explanations..
Latest news are that they refuse to give me refund because of the wifi and gps problems. So, they don't have a fix, and they refuse to give my money back.
Apparently they refuse to warranty fix the glass. Maybe. The email was a bit unclear, saying a lot of nothing.
When I agreed to pay for the glass, they did not answer.
In conclusion, they are doing nothing and they are going to keep on doing nothing.

I am really starting to lose my patience.
If you paid with a credit card, file a claim through them and explain the situation, thyey may side with you and pay for the repair, point them to this topic on the forum.
I believe they will side with you, credit card warranties are great, they want your business so they usually will do things to keep it.

Bills are the only things I'm willing to go out by way of transfers and such. If I'm paying for a product as opposed to a service, it's always card just to have that extra level of security for these very reasons. I'll pay with card before cash for (certain ) products, even if I have to take the time to put that cash in the bank for use with a card.

I guess a CC claim would be against the retailer that sold the ATP vs Asus. It's a shame really as in the end the retailer is only a third party in this fiasco. I wonder if the retailer has any recourse with Asus.

Not really, when you make a crecit card claim they ask for you to send the item in for repair and get the quote, you forward that to the CC company and they will tell you to pay for it with the CC and then they mail you a check for the amount of the repair.
Chargebacks go against the retailer, they are 2 different things, making a warranty claim vs. a chargeback.

Got it, Thanks. I was thinking more along the lines of the chargeback. I think its a 60 day satisfaction guarantee.
I just want to mention that I had returned my Prime a couple of months ago, tried a galaxy tab 2 7" and thought it was decent but under powered, returned that and bought a Asus 300. It feels kind of cheap but works well, and the biggest thign I noticed was THE THICK RUBBER BUMPER AROUND THE SCREEN. It has to be twice as wide as the one on the prime, and seems much more protective. I dropped the 300 on a corner from about 3 feet up and nothing, the prime would've been dented and the screen probably would've broke, oh and the floor was just regular tile, cheap ass **** they put in offices.
Anyways, I'm returning the 300 for a prime again, I miss the screen, extra battery life and the camera flash, which I actually used, I know, I know, I'm a dumbass.
I've now really lost all hope with Asus and they're ability to repair my prime.
It's been well over two months now that my prime has been sent to the repair center.
And today they've told me that the parts they need for the repair have been ordered yesterday !
So it took them.more than two months just to figure out what the parts are that they need for the repair.
I'm done with Asus , I now only want the money back and forget that Asus exists.
By now, we’re all quite familiar with Tasker, the personal automation app that seems to be able to … more
