80 G9 + USB Keyboard

Hi,

I'm trying to use a USB Keyboard with my Archos 80 G9.

First of all, I did the Softwareupdate ( 3.2.80 ) but no Keyboard or other USB Device (USB Stick, Mouse) worked. I'm Using the USB Port at the back ( the one for 3G Stick ).

So I flased the "old" Firmware (3.2.79). After this USB Sticks work fine. But still no Support for the Keyboard.

• Did I did something wrong (3G is on)
• Does it work with you guys? If yes what Firmware do you use?

Try using USB hub, it's possible that tablet doesn't use hardware that declares more power usage than USB port can give (all USB devices declare max current draw during the handshake)

the 3g usb working with dongle 3G and usn key only

You need an Micro-USB-B-OTG-Adapter.
Try www.adaptare-shop.de and search for OTG (or amazon etc.)

Rear USB working with mac keyboard

Ok, so what gives? The rear usb works with a mac keyboard......I can even make a cheap leather cover/usb keyboard (ebay special) work IF I plug it into the Apple keyboard. Thoughts? Suggestions? I'm guessing there is something going on with the grounding on the Apple keyboard.

Have you tried turning the 3G stick on under Settings?

I believe that power to the back USB port is off until the 3G stick is turned on.
