Default Xperia S low in call volume

I am using the production version of Xperia S and found the in call volume extremely low, when compare with my old Samsung Galaxy Note. Is there any hack or shortcut that help before my boss complain about that.

Thanks.

Same here. Not on earpiece, but while on speakerphone. I barely hear anything.

It is quite shocking most of the reviews say the volume was loud and clear. Hmm..

ps: XPS plays song quite loud IMHO, but not during on-call

Sony Hong Kong posted a reply in their facebook saying that the earpiece is positioned near video call camera (i.e. right side), but I don't experience any difference ... still so low in call volume than my old Samsung.

Need a hack or what ... the Engineering Mode trick that someone posted somewhere about Xperia X10 does not work ...

I also got my XS in Hong Kong and does not has any problem for the ear volume. Have you remove the protective screen plastic sheet? Most of the user complaint when they receive the machine and trial the use test the machine.

The call volume is very acceptable. Arc/Arc S was slightly louder and X10 was much softer. X10 call voulme was actually too soft to even be useable in most public areas.

Actually just got off the phone from a call.
Unless your phone is defective or your hearing is not good I think the in call volume is great. It's crisp too which is a nice bonus.

I too have this problem, I can barely hear anything inside a shopping mall, which isnt the case for the iphone 4s or the galaxy s2, is there no way to crank the volume beyond the max?

Yeah, I have trouble understanding my call partner, too, for example in trains or on the road. Thats really annoying, I would hope that there is a hack or something like that.
