Default Play movies app knows
Just got the play movies app on my phone. It says it wont work because the phone is rooted.

Right. The idea is that it would be easy for somebody who knew what they were doing to use a rooted phone to discover a method to circumvent DRM. Somebody will figure it out anyway, of course.
