Right, ive realized renaming the file as .ftf is not the thing to do. i unzipped the zip, which made a folder full of .sin files, used flashtool/advanced/bundle creation to create a .ftf from the files in the folder, this seemed to work. however, i still cant flash the .ftf to the phone! it wont even let me flash the CE1 Generic .73 .ftf that is already on the phone!!

you need to re-build the ftf in flashboot, i had the same message, once i rebuilt the ftf file it worked first time, phone now back on branded 02 software.

Guys, after making repair of my firmware via PCC cannot find the files I need to make my firmware backup, tried blob_fs folder and nothing!
There are a lot of files named ICON_XXXXX but not FILES_XXXX I need, do you know an easiest way to make a backup of my rom??

This files are in the folder /db/blobs/yyyyyyyy/ where yyyyyy is a number too.

Copy out the FILE_XXXXXX files to a backup folder. Now go into flashtool -> Advanced -> Decrypt .... Put into the files from your backup and Flashtool will create you a flashable version of your Rom

I may have missed a step but I have done the above and it doesn't create a ftf file but it creates loads of other files (please see attachment).
Does anyone know what I have done wrong.

is it possible someone could re upload the .67 uk generic as it appears that the link has gone dead. i would like to go back to uk generic so i can get the new uk update instead of using ce1 ,

I've been reading this thread for what seems like hours now lol, would someone explain to me how to make an ftf, I've just updated to uk generic .75 and want to make a backup.

So I have found the files in the blob_fs folder and backed them up and have decrypted them with flashtool but now I don't know how to create the bundle.

Could someone guide me with this?
