There are several ways to enable multi cpu support in GB, don't know about XS.
Surely with ICS we'll have full hardware acceleration

Oh, didn't know about that. Maybe Sony's firmware is already tweaked to support both of the cores?

No, of course it's not. They'll charge you $9.99 for the second core.

Joke apart, from what i know Gingerbread doesn't support multi cores cpus. This support was only introduced with Honeycomb.
Are manufacturers like Samsung (i9100) and Sony (LT26i) shipping devices with a modified version of Gingerbread that has full multi cores support?
I'm a newbie in the Android world, so go easy on me, i just want to learn

It's just some small changes really. It's up to the apps to use the second core fully, not the framework.

Ok thanks.

So you're telling me that "Honeycomb(/ICS) => Multi cores support introduced" is mainly just advertising?
