The Xperia S's screen is glued- as I know -, like for example the iPhone4/4s'. Some i4 users noticed this yellowish tint as well, and they've came to a conclusion it was because of the glue what was used to put the screens together and it disappeared after about 1,5-2 weeks.
This could explain the reaction to temperature differences too.
Yes that could explain it. Was it a different process for the Arc do you know? As i said in a earlier post i had never come across this with that phone. Not sure if i try and change my Xperia S to another that i could end up with one that's worse than the one i have. May sit it out a bit longer to see if it improves as you say attika.

I can't link the article, but in what I've found it says the Arc's screen is glued as well...I don't know then...maybe different glue

I've found it, but can not post links yet
Search Retina vs Reality. It is in an iPhone 4 vs Xperia Arc article at pocket-lint.

I have the yellow spot as well, but since it seems to become less noticeable over time I'm not going to worry about it

Sent from my LT26i using xda premium
Now this is an issue I've also been having which I am worried about.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

In this video also:

you can see some warmer whites at the bottom part of the display.

In my case, I've noticed it varies according to the view angle of the display.

For me it's most noticeable when viewing the display directly on my phone.

Update: another guy I know in the forum (because 2 month ago I sold him my GS2) confirmed me the bottom part/yellowish issue.

Maybe not everyone has this problem but after some feedback about, it semmes to be very very common...

So is it worth worrying about would you say? Is it a fault with the display?
