this is a worldwide problem and not just asian region.

It's a problem for new devices

Devices manufactured after the recognition of Sony shouldn't have that problem anymore

I got mine last week from France, and so far no problem with the screen at all.
I used the phone extensively btw, using n64oid for hours, so the phone did heat up a bit

So having a UK phone, i contacted Sonymobile repairs UK

clearly stating that the phone is a UK version and that i will ship it to them

this is thier response

yeah its from a Legit U.S retailer website

i got two UK phones from them production week 12W11
and they both had the tint plus the call volume was very low

i shipped them back for an exchange today.
i hope to get newer versions since 10 days have passed since i first got it

Mine is "12W10" so apparently older than the one on that picture

Well after a few hours of trying out my replacement phone from Sony the display is good but not perfect. There is the very very slightest tint of yellow at bottom of the display, but it's hardly noticeable, and certainly a big improvement over the 3 previous handsets I had. Also after having been on the internet and playing at least three 20min plus videos on YouTube I could not see any yellow spot appearing. I am still weary, as some users have reported the yellow tint/spot appears after a couple of weeks, but hopefully this wont be the case with mine.

Hi, can you tell us the week of manufacture? I'm curious to see if it is after 12W12 that Sony solved the problem, so I can buy 12W13 or above.
