[Q] cell broadcast spam problem

I have annoying problem with cell broadcast messages. In home every 5-10 minutes i get onscreen message from operator with my localization. Today morning during journey to work i get about 30 messages

How to disable it ? I don't see any option in messages or settings.

With Arc everything was ok, now after changing to Xperia S .67 rooted i get above.

I have same problem (T-Mobile / Era).

I found solution: root phone, freeze Messaging App by Titanium Backup, Install alternate Messaging app from Google Play.

I know it is not perfect and complicated (root requires unlocked boot loader), but i dont recieve this Spam CB Messages.

solution

After many attempts (root, unroot, changing firmware to .62 back .67) with no success, I took out my SIM, insert it to old good K800i and disabled all networks informations, channels 50, 52 etc. (under Messaging->Settings->Area info) ....and it finally did the trick.
