I needed to unroot to use the new live CD method. I havent put the images on the SD yet. So.. is unlocking just as easy?

idk on the live cd methed as i downgraded by the OP methed. but pull tha battery and take out yr sd card put it n an adapter and plug it into yr computer and manually copy n past the image to the sd card and rename it to PG86IMG.zip then put sd card back n 3D and battery back in boot into Fastboot and continue..

u got to b LOCKED at this point to continue.. if u want to use the live cd then i cant help much with that as i have not used it.

(If you are HTC Unlocked, you MUST RELOCK BEFORE this step.)

1.) Take your 2.08(or 2.17) ZIP image, put it on the root of your SDCard, call it PG86IMG.zip. (I HAVE PERSONALLY ONLY TESTED THIS WITH the 2.08 IMAGE, but it should work with the 2.17 one as well)

2.) Reboot to BootLoader, let it detect the zip and read and get to the point where it wants you to press Vol-Up to update, but DO NOT do anything yet

3.) Pull off the battery cover and plug the device into AC power.

4.) Pull the battery out (The device should stay on, if it doesn't, start over and try again)

Its not asking me to update.

How can I just undo the relock? i just want a working phone again..


EDIT: PHEW! just had to use the unlock file from fastboot to unlock it again

You'll have to go back to htcdev.com and follow their steps

danm it man ok im getting a permission denied after i type the emmc file in every terminal and hit enter 3 times
can anybody help
