i didn't run into any problems. nothing gave me an error?

Id try rebooting Ubuntu. If that doesn't work, reboot to hboot and redo the bricking process and try again.

As far as I know, there have not been any permanent bricks to this point. It seems as though you can always get back to hboot and try again. I watched the video, and it took him a couple tries to get it.

great thanks for all the work getting this done. I am now on 1.4 s-off rooted and fully restored. I run meanrom and did a nandroid then went through this process and when finished restored my backup and am right where I began except on 1.4 and s-off. Thanks again for all the hard work.

You're running OSX, right? Why not just make a small partition (or two) for linux? It's pretty easy to double or triple boot. I have Mac/LinuxMint/Win7, comes in really handy in cases like this.

argh tried a bunch of stuff (including 2 zips) but i can't get the ruu to run at all. just goes through checking then straight back to bootloader. anybody found a solution? i have no idea what else to do.

You're running just the rom.zip extracted from the RUU, right? Renamed to PG86IMG.zip?

Anyone actually gotten the revolutionary tool to go all the way through? Mine didn't finish either time I used it...(took running it twice to gain s-off) and after getting the failed message the second time, I was s-off, but my bootloader didnt say revolutionary at the top... Anyone else have this? I know it worked though, because I am now on eng hboot...
