Default [Q] Missing Sony Entertainment Network Apps

Hi,

I really hope there is someone who can help me with this question.

Just got my new Sony Xperia S. I live in the US, so I needed to buy it from Ebay.

It is an LT26i with android version 2.3.7 build number 6.0.A.3.62.

I have noticed that I do not have the link to install the PS store and PS pocket.. But more importantly, video unlimited and music unlimited is not pre-installed.

I tried factory resetting and also to repair phone using the PC companion (which re downloaded the phone's firmware and installed it.

However, still same issue.

Is there anone who has the same problem? Can it have to do with my carrier (ATT). Or has it to do with where the phone originally came from?

Will I need to load a new firmware onto the phone? Appreciate any help in where to get the necessary files.

Thanks much

Yes, SEN and PS Store are available based on where the device came from. If yours is not from Europe or the US, it is highly unlike that it'll be on your device. You'll need to flash to that region's firmware to have it available.

I think a lot of the Sony apps came with .67 as well, it might be that you just need to update it.

flash to .67 and it should be there...at least that's when it all showed up on my device.

Smile monkey123-missing apps

You don't need to flash anything to get those apps.

The forum page with the .apk files for the playstation pocket and store is here:

I'm in the USA with a Hong Kong purchased phone and I've been able to download and play playstation games just fine doing this.

As far as the music and video unlimited apps, you can download those directly from Google Play (formerly Android Market) on your phone.

Default Ps store SA

So it's said that South Africans won't have access to the ps store... Will there be a way to get it in SA with the games working should I flash the UK firmware or what?
