@Matius @Chas @Abhi @Anti

Seen the new thread. A separate thread for dealing with backups and restores sounds great.

In addition to it, should we not change the install guide on the first page of this thread? Need to remove the striked out bit and insist on using Abyss 4.2 to be flashed over GB, thereafter a reboot and then flash Stunner. Doing this will make sure root stays and a lot of questions on this thread related to bad installs or root will be gone, leaving you all with unstupid questions to answer to. Lol

But then that's perhaps for @Neo to consider?

Am so happy my stand on not flashing LP1 was vindicated. A few pages ago, another member had criticised me saying I should not talk if I didn't know what I was saying when I had answered to a user's post saying the same thing about using Abyss 4.2 and going straight to Stunner from GB.

And @Chas, thanks for the appreciation. Only doing my bit. Please gimme a shoutout if I can be of service. (But am still wondering how my thanks meter is stuck at 11, lol)

Which brings me back to wondering, "Can you smell what the Neo is cooking?!"

PS: @Neo is living up to his name. Liberating us from the machines !!!

Feel my screen is a bit too bright in Auto mode. Any idea how I can tweak it down a bit? Went to settings-display-customise backlight, but that didn't do much.

Ideas welcome. Thanks.

Found out a small bug on the bottom 2 soft keys lighting. In Settings -> Galaxy Note Settings -> Enable Keys Back light box is not checked, when you change the brightness for example from the pull down menu, both the soft keys will light up.

Yup just tried it and it does turn on the capacitive buttons if you change the brightness from the drop down notification menu, and then you have to tick and untick the "Enable Keys Backlight" option for them to be turned off again..

However, I've always used widgetsoid to have a widget switcher for custom levels of brightness to change them on the fly and that never turned the capacitive key lights on..

Hitting the power button to lock the screen works too. The keys will remain unlit after waking up the phone.

Duplicated.

If you are helped by someone, it is only the right thing to hit the "Thanks" button.
