HI there, I wonder if you can help me at all. I have a samsung galaxy gt i5700 (it doesn't say spica though, so I don't know whether all the gt i5700 are spica) and I have a very olde version of android, 1.5 cupcake. I would like to upgrade and I was wondering if you can help me at all, here are my questions:
-which version it is advisable to upgrade to?
-could you direct me to a good guide that tells me what to do it (the process, data backup and how to restore the phone in case things go wrong). I had a look on google but to be honest I have found an awful lot of guides that seem a bit dodgy.
-is there anything I need to know before upgrading?

install latest 2.1 if you want to have official firmware. Check google and pm me if you still can't install it.

Or search on google for and spicagenmod. This is what I'm running at the moment and it's very stable...
