One thing I had to do to get things going is to put the folder on the Desktop, rather than in the Downloads folder.

I was having ODIN crash on me when attempting to update. And not just crash the program, but the whole PC.

Oh shoot I forgot.... Mainly as I do it as force of habit. When messing around with ROMs and Flashing I always turn off Windows UAC, Antivirus and Firewall not to mention I run all Programs like this with Admin rights, all of which have a hand in protecting things you download into your downloads folder!

This is why People tell you to extract to a folder on your desktop!

Hi !

This rolling screen problem in CWM is very annoying.
I have tried all the solution proposed here, and it doesn't work for me :(

I have this version galaxy tab 10.1 3g ( GT-P7500 - VIP Croatia )
GT-P7500_VIP_P7500BUKL1_P7500VFGKK4_P7500BUKK4

And when i said i have tried ALL versions of CWM proposed here ( even famous 5.5.0.4 ), and screen rolling problem persist.

Luckily, i have found original stock ROM to download ( about 500 mb ), extract recovery.img, make recovery.tar.md5 and flash it with ODIN.

Stock recovery.img works OK.

Any ideas how to solve this ??
Does anyone have some smart suggestion, because it is obvious i can't try any other custom ROM, because of this screen rolling problem ??

Can somebody try to explain me why is this happening, maybe i can help.

Cheers !

Did you try "ClockworkMod_Recovery_v5.5.0.4_P75xx.tar" from the first post?

I also own GT-P7500 and only the above custom recovery doesn't cause rolling screen problem for me. Any other custom recoveries I tried do.

I also want to know what causes this problem. Apparently there is something in all those custom recoveries that causes it, except in the above one, but what?

Had success, with 5.5.0.4 with the European stock no recovery rolling or ROM boot rolling. Flashed Cyanogen 9.0, Kernel 2.6.36.4, no probs in recovery but the flickering screen appears on boot up but will go away & the ROM runs (as you would expect L a d from cm) if you press the lock screen.
Also noted that a soft re-boot no flickering takes place.
Would using the info at this : - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1484304 & make a recovery from the ROM you wish to flash be possible?

not a noob but not an expert so I'll ask
