Basically. send your phone off to be recycled or give it to someone without a phone, dont destroy it!

Factory is quite different then a phone. The factory itself provides jobs and produces products.
If he sends his phone off for recycle or gives it to someone else, the new person will not need to spend any or as much money to buy his own phone. Giving away stuff for free hurts the economy more than it helps
