What does the kernel do exactly? Makes camera work, at least without previews?

Media volume working fine here

I have downloaded so many things through stock ics browser.. i can see them in "Downloads" that is there in app drawer..
But when i open ES File Explorer, and try to find the files, i cannot find then. (Even there is a folder "download" but there also the files aren't there)..
And some help me by telling where i can find them..

they must be somewhere on the sd card try searching for the name of the file and then when you find it click orperties and see in wich folder is in.
Btw the lastest version is much stable and faster, live wallpapers work, games preformance is nice..the gpu drivers are making a differnce. Also we got update to 4.0.4 from 4.0.3 so THANK you developers :]
