Ever want to have a working xloud or beats audio for SGY but got force close for some music player apps like Poweramp?


WELL I GOT THE SOLUTION FOR YOU!

UPDATE: HAS ISSUES WITH EQUALIZER APPS LIKE DSP, I'M FINDING A FIX ON IT
TO PREVENT ANY PROBLEMS PLEASE REMOVE EQUALIZER APPS BEFORE FLASHING

I have here a modified version of XLOUD+BEATS By RockoDev, I edited his script a little and fixed the bug on his port, now all apps should be compatible with xloud and beats audio

(NOTE: THE ZIP IN RockoDev's Thread will make apps force close and is not 100% working for SGY)

INSTRUCTIONS:
FLASH WITH CWM, NO DATA WIPE/CACHE WIPE NECESSARY

[Plz thank original dev and all devs who made it all possible before flashing]

having a backup of your current ROM before install this will solve this problem. it won't harm you. believe me

btw, I've see the installation files. this mod add some file into /bin, /etc, /framework, and /lib under /system. it will also replace some file under /system/etc/audio but i thought they're just audio setting file. it seems this mod is safe. I'll give a shot.

honestly when trying to uninstall by deleting the installed files from system will make situations a lot worse, during testing phase of the fix i found out several values were incorrect for the settings on our SGY, so i had to remove them and manually flash it again, that made it work,

anyways, can anyone else verify this fix?
any issues/incompatibilities?

you put a *jar file in the /framework. it block any application who acces some sound lib. now I can't acces proplayer's equalizer setting. my dsp manager is forced close too (lol)

btw, i thought the old beats audio works better. to be honest, your mod seems improve some aspect in sound quality but it doesn't give any bassbost at all. its good for accoustic. but I'm used to hear a lot of rock music. no bassboost is a bad news for me. sorry.

bassboost is acually available as you can see in some of the files
\system\etc\soundimage
\system\etc\
\system\lib\soundfx
\system\lib\

try using a different audio device or a HQ audio device
