Default [Q] Is the TriangleAway Odin Counter & Triangle Removal app compatible with the E4GT?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1494114

Yep it's here, for the people that don't have USB jigs, or want to save time. It removes the ugly yellow triangle and the Odin Binary Counter on the device without using a USB jig.

But this was found in the Galaxy S2 Original forum... although they said it is only compatible with leaked ICS builds, they said its even compatible with the Galaxy Note. So I'm thinking that its for all Galaxy S2's with leaked ICS builds... My question:

Did any one try it? Is anyone gonna try it? Did it work, or did it brick? Will it work?

Make sure your flash counter is above one or you could screw up your bootloader. Happened to my friend, he used triangle away and didn't know his flash counter had not begun and his phone started vibrating and froze so he pulled battery, then on restart he had the blue led of death.

I really don't mind the yellow triangle. How often do you really see the boot screen anyways. Once the CM9 build gets a proper recovery I will probably use the triangle away app once and then I should have to use odin ever again. But right now every time that you want to flash an update you have to odin back to el26 CWM so not worth getting rid of.

Thing is, if you need to have it serviced by Sprint for some reason, an observant rep may notice the triangle. You can use Mobile ODIN to flash back to the CWM-EL26 tar to avoid incrementing the ODIN count, and triggering the yellow triangle.

To answer OP's question, I can confirm Triangle Away works with CM9. Just make sure to verify that the true ODIN count matches the count TA reports. Using it when there's a discrepancy is a brick-risk.

I am pretty sure sprint wont touch my phone. I bought a bad esn epic touch on ebay and flashed it to virgin mobile. I don't think it qualifies for any warranties..

I just finished using it on the epic 4g touch..like mentioned above, make sure odin counter is correct, then let the app do the rest. Thought there would be more to it, to be honest..super easy, super quick, may brick ur phone so be careful. but worked beautifully for me. Let me add that i've tried chris41g's/ qb's method- works great-(dont know if the links are still good tho). Check out Chains' thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1494114
