Thanks, didn't realize that from text in changelog. And as I don't use rosie, can't feel any difference .
Sorry for my wrong advice.

Yes, some of them are not working on ICS anymore, some of them are just not needed

Quick question, if ARHD later uses the rumored updated 1.28 FW as base, then we users needed to fastboot oem lock then update to HTC website first before going through the unlocking/flashing process again?

And what is this RUU thing? Is it updating thru their website? If it is, then why others are posting the RUU files here if updating can be done on HTC website?

TIA.

Coming from a Sony phone, I'm struggling a bit on HTC side of things.

Mike have you seen this?

[ruu]1.28.1400.5

RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTCCN_CHS_1.28.1400.5_Radio_ 1.1204.103.14L_release_255009_signed.exe

I know you only normally deal in WWE but does this mean the WWE version is close?

Thanks

No, when there is an ARHD Version based on a new FW ,you will only have to flash new FW through bootloader (PG..) and then flash new ROM in recovery.
And RUU is the expression for an official non-OTA rom-update. On base of that RUU's all custom ROM developing is done. So when there is a new RUU, there is a new major ARHD-Version
When RUU's are posted on xda, it usually means that they are NOT available at HTC yet (leaked somehow ) or even are unofficial/beta versions. They are posted by the one who aquired them for the other devs to be able to use them.

No, when the new firmware comes out, Mike and other devs will take it and use it to update their ROMs. You just flash the new custom ROM using recovery, and you'll have the new firmware on your phone - only better, of course, as it will have been tweaked and improved by XDA devs.

A custom ROM completely replaces the stock firmware on your phone, once you have a custom ROM there's no need to go back to stock unless you choose to.

An RUU is a ROM Update Utililty - it's a exe file you can run from your PC, which flashes the official firmware onto your phone via USB. Its only use to people with custom ROMs is that it allows the devs to take the new firmware apart and make their improvements to it, and cook it into their ROMs. Either that or it allows you to return your phone to the stock, official firmware, should you wish to for some reason.

Not that it will help us carrier branded One X users, we still have no way to flash a new base
