i've got ext2 partition and fat32 created with help od Blayo's tutorial ->http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=907436 (don't used to do that CWM, ony adb shell and fdisk ) and after all of creating partitions i've noticed that my legen'd app space grows, everything to this step is ok! but after
"
4. Go again in recovery and flash the other file htc... .zip

"

everything is laggy, crashing down and phone need to rebot to "insert" SD and sim card ... after rebot play statrs again and again and again, i needed to restore to time beside
"3. Restart phone and the ext partition is in your internal memory included"
and
"4. Go again in recovery and flash the other file htc... .zip"

I just wanted to report that I decided to get some 3D games from to market to try out the performance of the rom, and I must say that it has been fantastic playing them, no lag super smooth and looks like great frame rate too.

Those 3 scripts are for the 3 different file formats for Linux/android ext2, ext3 and ext4. After learning about the different versions, it would seam ext2 is definitely not compatible with ext3 or 4, where as ext3 and ext4 are somewhat more similar, and ext3 can be mounted as an ext4 but with some features disabled. <edited incorrect info.
This leads me to believe if you have an ext2 partition you can not use the HTCdata2sd-ext3 with data2ext2.
This would explain why its stuffing up the phone.

Ok! Thx for your answer, i didn't know (my next mistake) that it's for ext3 files. Then what you advice to do in our case ? Will be there any diferent if i'll format it to ext3 or ext4 thene instal first .zip prepared for ext4->
then enable it in adb shell ->
rebot ->
instal htc......zip (that made for ext3 which mess up in my legend before)?
I just don't know if are there any arguments to spend couple of hours for makeing it (i know it can sound like "are there any argu for instal CM cause i don't know if is it worth or use custom rom" XD - but i'm noob in this thread (ext2 or ext4))

BTW. I had oportunity to check if "word of goo" will work's 4 my legend and it couldn't start .. ;/ the same as "cut the rope".. but "cut the rope expert" works for me well... wird. I'll try to reinstal it and try again...

Heres screensht from my toodays battery use. I made a few calls, ~30 sms, 15min on wifi/3g and web serching. result for me is crazy XD just WOOOW!! I'll look how it'll be behave in coming hours.

Ummmm, perhaps use only 1 of those zips, the one that matches the format of the partition you are using.

Thumbs up Data2Ext - it really works!!!

Hi !

It really works, if you use the install manual.

Use the ext2 version, and then the htc... zip

i have created a ext partition with clockworkmod 5.08 first.
( 1 GB ext and 256 MB Swap )
(Bootloader unlocked via htcdev )

Make a full wipe;
Try it after flashing the beta0 rom and the gapps ( after 1 complete start )

itīs very fast.

Greetings

Fabian

Correct me if I'm wrong, but It would seam that cwm only creates ext3 partitions? I used cwm to setup my sdcard and that is the format of my ext partition.

Ok i understand what you wont to tell but i've allready did exackly as you sad with this difference that i've made an ext2 partition useing "adb shell" from PC (~700MB ext2 + ~ 6,6GB fat32 {8GB microSDHC}), and you CWM. Maybe Ranger has right that CMW makes an ext3 partition, and it is solution to reformat it to ext3 and then try one more time to instal HTC...zip ?

BTW: is there a big difference in LEgends speed and battery use before you do all that and after ? I meen if are there argu to play with it. Will be there results which i'll realy see in normal useing ?;>

Battery stats : 22h 4m 12s - 71% battery very nice 4me

Thumbs up Data2ext

Hi !

First, iīm not a dev.

I have only a little bit knowing in ext Partitions for Android ( i have an old g1 too )

All that i described is working.

Ext2 and ext3 are nearly the same with only few differences.

Try it with naked version of Beta0 with only gapps installed.

AND YES, ITīS FASTER WITH IT !

Many people told me that it really works by pm;

Page 6, User Me4mario:

"Well, although CWM apparently isn't the best choise, I pumped my Quadrant score:
From: - 600 mhz Ondemand -> Score: ~530
-806 mhz Performance -> Score: ~640
To: - 600 mhz Ondemand -> Score: ~940
-806 mhz Performance -> Score: ~1140

So, again, Thank you (very much)!"

OK! I see and i'll try to do it one more time but will you guide me how to make 2 partitions with CWM ? first fat32 for normal use secound ext ? OR it'll be easier if there's any way to format existing ext2 partition to ext3 in CWM. I found advanced/partition SD <- but i dont know if it will partition all my SD makeing one part?
mounts and storage/format ext <- will it format existing ext2 to ext(3? if CWM makes ext3...)
it is big unknown for me and i dont wont to mess up everything without any sens :P and will be glad for some advices.
