Oh wow. Thank you that fixed it. It looks like I must have turned off mobile data by mistake when I was holding the power button. I just received all the MMS messages that did not come through. Thanks again.

Ive been running this rom for a couple weeks now and I really like it. It has been pretty stable with only a couple issues
1) screen seems to be extra sensitive. So I'm all of sudden sending random pocket text lol.
2) I've had better battery life with other kernels(siyah).
3) keyboard seems to not be able to keep up with my thumbs(intermittent).
4) most important bug to me. NBA jam app crashes when loading a match up.
Just my 2 cents. Please don't take as criticism, only feedback. With that said it would be awesome if somebody might have some suggestions for fixes. Especially a fix for the NBA jam app issue. Thanks in advance. Extra thanks to everybody who makes this all possible!

I'm having this problem on several different ICS ROMs and it's only when I load up my sd cards (PNY and Sandisk 32GB) with map tiles for Maverick (50000+ files). Is there a known issue with the way ICS or Samsung phones on ICS is performing media scanning on the external sd card? I don't have this problem on any Gingerbread ROMs.
I was having a similar problem where camera apps (not just stock) would open, but then take about 45 seconds to be usable. Once I switched the storage to internal, the problems stopped. I would prefer to keep my pictures on my external SD (just personal preference), but it performs a lot better for me on internal.
It may be on page 54 for you, but not everybody has the same posts per page setting. Give the post number instead.

It turns out I have the same problem when storing the map tiles on the internal storage too. This isn't a problem specific to Shostock2 (which is the best ICS ROM for me). It happens with others including the leaked ATT ROMs and International version.

Don't play NBA Jam but some games will work if you shut off wifi and data.

Have you tried moving the app itself to internal storage?

tried that and no luck. eamobiles support is non existant. but in the playstore under description or whatever for the app it says it may not work with non stock roms. so im thinking there has to somebody that has come across this issue before and figured it out. because surely this isnt the first case of an app not playing well with custom roms. wish i knew more about debugging and how to go about fixing this issue myself. thanks again for your time

The app itself is on internal storage. The place I like to save the pictures to is external/SD, but it performs much better when the pictures save to internal as well.

And as somebody else mentioned, this isn't just a Shostock issue. I had the same problem with CM9 and AOKP.
